From April 25 to 27, the ninth Conference of the Chinese-foreign Joint Institute Committee (CJIC) was held in Baoding, Hebei. The conference was guided by the Department of International Cooperation and Exch anges of the Ministry of Education, hosted by CJIC, and organised by the HBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creative Industries. ZJE attended the conference as the chairman unit, and Dean Yuehai Ke gave a report entitled "New Era, New Medical Science, and New Talents: Exploration and Practice of Zhejiang University". By sharing our experience, ZJE discussed with the participating units the construction of a sustainable model of Chinese-foreign joint institutes and explored possible ways to promote China's higher education to the top ranks in the world.
