“Nobel Prize Interpretation: Caenorhabditis elegans and the Frontiers of Life Sciences – Scientific Exploration and Collaboration from the Nobel Prize Perspective” Seminar Successfully Held

On December 23, 2024, the Nobel Prize Interpretation: Caenorhabditis elegans and the Frontiers of Life Sciences – Scientific Exploration and Collaboration from the Nobel Prize Perspective seminar co-organised by the Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute (ZJE) and the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology was successfully held in the East Hall, International Campus of Zhejiang University. Suhong Xu, Vice Dean of ZJE, delivered an opening speech. More than 80 teachers and students attended the meeting.

This seminar has a total of four sessions, hosted by ZJE researcher Di Chen, Zhejiang University School of Medicine Professor Lijun Kang, Zhejiang University Institute of Translational Medicine researcher Wei Zou and ZJE researcher Lingfeng Meng. Professor Guang Shouhong and Shan Ge from the University of Science and Technology of China, researcher Di Chen and researcher Wei Zou gave an in-depth interpretation of the research results related to the Nobel Prize over the years.


In addition, many students from laboratories such as Westlake University, University of Science and Technology of China, Suzhou University, and Zhejiang University gave wonderful reports and shared the latest research results of the laboratories.

This seminar provides participants with a platform to gain an in-depth understanding of the frontiers of Caenorhabditis elegans research, and we look forward to more such high-quality academic activities in the future to further promote the development of life sciences.
