On the evening of September 26, 2025, ZJE hosted a surprise birthday party for the Class of 2025 undergraduates at Lai Tong College, International Campus, ZJU. 151 students were invited to this mystery event, including 29 birthday celebrants from the third quarter. Amid laughter and cheers, they received handwritten blessing cards from all their peers, carrying these heartfelt wishes.
The party featured diverse performances, including guqin solos, pop songs, violin medleys, and dance acts, alongside interactive games like musical chairs and a guessing competition based on classic cultural clips. The most touching moment came when each birthday star received handwritten birthday card from every ZJE classmate, carrying heartfelt wishes for their upcoming journeys.
The event not only celebrates birthdays but also strengthens our bond as a community, said Hou. Inspired by its success, ZJE plans to host seasonal birthday parties throughout the year, ensuring every student can enjoy a memorable celebration during their time at ZJE.
