On the afternoon of April 21, 2026, the 148th Biomed-X Research Seminar of ZJE was held in Room 2A-203, ZJE Building. At the invitation of Dr. Lingfeng Meng, Prof. Zhixing Chen from the College of Future Technology, Peking University, delivered an academic report titled “Gentle and robust dyes for dynamic super-resolution imaging”.

This report focused on next-generation fluorescent probes for live-cell super-resolution imaging. Traditional probes have limitations in brightness, photostability and phototoxicity. Chen’s team developed high-performance probes with better performance, enabling long-term stable super-resolution observation of mitochondria, insulin vesicles, cell membranes and lysosomes. Representative products include PK Mito, PK Zinc and BD series, providing new tools for life science imaging.

During the event, teachers and students interacted actively. Prof. Chen answered all questions in detail, helping the audience better understand the frontier progress and application prospects in this field.

This is the 148th session of the Biomed-X Seminar series. ZJE will continue to build this academic brand and provide a high-level academic exchange platform for teachers and students.
