Before you begin your online application, you will need to gather the following documents if they are available. You may submit your application without supporting documents if you have not yet received your results, however, our team will require these before your offer can be secured.

Certificates of education qualifications (we cannot accept screenshots or images taken on a phone, you must scan your original documents into the system) and transcripts, original and translated into English. We also require a copy of your final certificate before admissions, please ensure you ask your school for this before applying

Certificates of English language qualifications such as IELTS, TOEFL or other acceptable English qualifications (as required for non-native speakers of English)

Photocopy of your passport or ID

Photocopy of two references - references must be on letterheaded paper, with the signature and contact details of your referee

You should also start thinking of what you would like to write in your personal statement.

  • 3. Step Two

Applications should be submitted via our online admissions portal. You can access this by selecting ‘apply now’ at the top of any page. When you first log in, you will need to create an account. This will allow us to contact you regarding your application. You can save your application, and return to it at any time.

Once your application account is successfully created, enter all the information required in the application form carefully and make sure the information you provide is correct, complete and up to date. Upload the required documents (mentioned above) to the corresponding fields. Please ensure you select 'save' on each page before moving onto the next section, this will ensure that no information is lost.

Once you are happy with your application, select to ‘submit’ it. You will no longer be able to make any updates to your application once submitted. If you have submitted your application accidentally, please contact zje_apply@zju.edu.cn.

  • 4. Step Three

After submitting your application successfully, you will receive a confirmation email. We will then screen your application to ensure you have completed it successfully and uploading the correct supporting documents.

Once your application has been screened and passed, it will move to the review stage. During this stage, a panel will review your application and will give you either an unconditional offer, conditional offer or rejection letter based on your academic qualifications.

We aim to provide a response to your application within 45 days of submission.

  • 5. Step Four

Once you have received your offer, you should respond as soon as possible. If you have received an unconditional offer, you should sign and return the offer letter and register with Zhejiang University (http://isinfosys.zju.edu.cn/recruit/login.shtml). You will also be required to mail your supporting documents to us once you have accepted your offer. We will send you instructions on how to do this.

We will also send you information on applying for a visa, paying your fees, and applying for accommodation at the International Campus.

If you are given a conditional offer, you should provide other required documents or qualifications as mentioned in the offer in order to guarantee your place. We normally require this information by the end of June of the year you are applying to study. We will state clearly in your offer letter what you are required to submit and by what date.

We will send you a pre-departure briefing, informing you of welcome events, dates of registration, and the start of teaching.
