    Integrative Biomedical Sciences (Based in China) MScR

     

    Join a one year full-time University of Edinburgh Master by Research programme in Integrative Biomedical Sciences based at the award winning Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute (ZJE) at Zhejiang Universitys International Campus in Haining, China.

     

    Our one year degree programme will provide you with experience in a broad range of techniques and methodological approaches by participation in two independent research projects covering the full range of biomedical sciences.

    Biomedical Sciences (Based in China) PhD

     

    Our single-award University of Edinburgh PhD in Biomedical Sciences is a 4-year doctoral training programme.

     

    The programme provides an exciting and unique opportunity for interdisciplinary research training and development within the field of Biomedical Sciences. Students will contribute to the development of disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention in state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities at International Campus, Zhejiang University, China

     

    Thesis committee

     

    You will also be assigned a personal PhD thesis committee. This comprises:

     

    l your principal supervisor

    l an assistant supervisor from the University of Edinburgh

    l a thesis committee chair

     

    The committee provides advice and mentoring, and monitor progress. Supervisors maintain the highest standards of research training with a strong research output in leading international journals.

     

    Courses and seminars

     

    You will have the opportunity of participating in relevant taught courses either on campus or online as appropriate.

     

    You will also attend research seminars and can attend online research skills training courses provided by the Institute of Academic Development at University of Edinburgh.

     

    Postgraduates also have the opportunity to act as demonstrators for undergraduate teaching.

     

    Presenting your findings

     

    All students are encouraged to present their findings at national and international conferences and to publish their findings in international journals, in advance of submission of their PhD theses for examination.
